Baezl

Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Serna Media, Inc. ("we", "us"), the company that operates Baezl. By creating an account or using Baezl, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Your account

You must give accurate information and keep your password safe.
You are responsible for what happens on your account.
You must be at least 13, and old enough to form a binding agreement where you live if you ever pay for Baezl.

Your content stays yours

The semesters, courses, assignments, and notes you add are yours. We do not claim ownership of them.

To run the service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, and display your content, but only as needed to operate and improve Baezl for you. "Non-exclusive" means you keep all of your rights. This license ends when you delete the content or close your account, except for copies kept briefly in routine backups.

Ideas and suggestions. If you send us an idea, suggestion, or feedback about Baezl, we may build on it freely, with no payment or credit due. Your own semesters, courses, and assignments are not suggestions; they stay yours.

Fair use: what is not allowed

Please do not:

Break the law, or add content that is hateful, harassing, or infringes someone's rights.
Try to hack, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service.
Resell or copy the service as your own.
Upload anything harmful, like malware.

We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.

Free accounts and paid plans

Baezl is free to use while it is in beta, with no limit on semesters or courses.
If we add paid plans, we will show the price and the terms before you pay, and we will give notice before any change to what a free account includes.

Deleting your account

You can stop using Baezl at any time and delete your account from Settings, or email [email protected] and we will do it for you. We may also suspend or close accounts that violate these terms. See our Privacy Policy for how deletion works.

You cover us (indemnification)

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Serna Media, Inc. and its team from any claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, and costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) that arise from or relate to: (a) the content you add; (b) your use of the service; (c) your violation of these terms; or (d) your violation of any law or the rights of another person.

The service is provided "as is"

We work hard to keep Baezl running well, but we cannot promise it will always be available, error-free, or fit every purpose. Baezl is a planner, not your school's official record: always check due dates with your instructor and your school's own systems. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Baezl is provided "as is" without warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or incidental damages, including a missed deadline. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Keep your own copies of anything important to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute relating to Baezl or these terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the date above, and using Baezl after a change means you accept the new terms.
